CRIME OF THE WEEK Crime Stoppers of El Paso is assisting investigators from the F.B.I. in locating an offender who committed El Paso’s first bank robbery of the new year, making this the “Crime of the Week.” On Friday, January 4th, just after eleven o’clock in the morning, a lone man walked into the State National Bank at 7744 North Loop, approached a teller and demanded money. The man made a threat of having a gun, but no weapon was displayed during the incident. The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, 35 to 40 years of age, 5-feet 7-inches tall, with a medium build and a medium skin tone. The man, who had a mustache and appeared to be unshaven, was wearing blue jeans, a white crew neck tee-shirt and a dark brown jacket. He had a bandage across the bridge of his nose.
