Tx. Dot launches new service

On October 11th, Tx. DOT will begin broadcasting travel advisory information through a Highway Advisory Radio System. Commuters can tune to 1610 AM, and receive updates on any incidents on the following roadways:

  • I-10 from the New Mexico border to Clint/San Elizario
  • US 54 from the Mexico border to New Mexico
  • US 62/180 (Montana) at Loop 375

The system will provide the following information:

  • Incidents blocking traffic lanes
  • Daily construction/maintenance closures
  • Weather emergencies
  • Amber/Silver alert
