Two Men Involved in Westside Bar Stabbing
March 25, 2024

Two men are involved in the stabbing at a Westside bar that left a man seriously wounded. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help identifying these violent men through the “Crime of The Week.”
 
On Tuesday, March 5, at 9:30 P.M., the suspect walked into the Big Lou’s Icehouse at 7128 N. Mesa with another man. The suspect became involved in an argument with the victim inside the bar. Moments later, the suspect approached the victim and stabbed him multiple times. The suspect and his companion fled the scene and were seen by witnesses in a Chevrolet pickup truck.
 
The suspect who stabbed the victim has a heavy build and a beard. He wore a checkered shirt with a white undershirt, blue jeans, and black athletic shoes with white stripes. The companion is Hispanic and has an average to thin build. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants. The victim was seriously wounded in this incident.

Couple Burglarizes Eastside Tire Store
March 10, 2024

A couple is recorded breaking into an east El Paso tire business and making off with cash and tires. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help identifying this burglarizing couple through the “Crime of The Week.”
 
On Friday, February 9 at 5:47 A.M., a couple exits a small pickup truck and they walk towards the C&M Tires business at 8900 Viscount. They broke a window and forced their way inside of the business. After ransacking items inside they located a small amount of cash. Each of them grabbed two Ironman GEN3 tires and left the business. The total value of the tires was $560.00. Both suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts and believed to be using gloves. Investigators know someone has information on the identity of this burglarizing couple.

Two Men Stabbed in Central El Paso
February 27, 2024

Two men were stabbed in Central El Paso, and a man believed to have been involved is recorded by security cameras. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help identifying this man through the “Crime of The Week.”
 
On Tuesday, February 6, at 2:17 P.M., two men were stabbed at the 900 block of N. Florence. Both victims were taken to the hospital and ultimately survived the attack. Detectives found security video that recorded a man that is believed to have been involved in the stabbing. The man is White or Hispanic, in his mid-30’s to early 40’s, has short hair and a beard. He wore a tan baseball cap, a gray t-shirt with the Adidas logo on the front, a dark jacket, dark pants, and dark shoes. Investigators are certain that someone knows the identity of this man.

Two Men Hold up Eastside Convenience Store

Two men held up an East El Paso convenience store and recorded by security cameras. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help from the community to identify these robbers through this week’s “Crime of The Week.”
 
On Monday, December 11, 2023, at 3:53 A.M., two men walked into the Circle K store located at 3291 N. Zaragoza. The suspects walked around the store and then selected a variety of items including alcoholic beverages. When the store employee refused to sell the alcohol to them they walked out of the store. Moments later, one of the men walked back into the store and made a threat of having a gun took five mini bottles of Fireball malt liquor and walked out of the store. The suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored 4-door Chevrolet.

Tips Sought on Murder Outside Westside Restaurant Bar

A woman was fatally shot after an argument escalated into a physical fight outside of a West El Paso restaurant bar. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help from the community to identify those involved in this murder through this week’s “Crime of The Week.”
 
On Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 1:54 A.M., an argument that began inside the El Jaguar Restaurant Bar escalated into a physical fight outside. During the fight, a handgun was produced and multiple shots were fired. A 17-year-old and 18-year-old male were wounded. 21-year-old Rosario Gonzalez was also wounded and taken to the hospital but did not survive. Investigators know that someone has information on the individuals responsible for the shooting death of Rosario Gonzalez.

Man Wounded By Shooter in Road Rage Incident

A man shoots at two other men after a road rage incident in East El Paso. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help from the community to identify this shooter through this week’s “Crime of The Week.”   

On Wednesday, January 3, at 4:40P.M., two men were traveling on Loop 375 South near Vista Del Sol when they became involved in a road rage incident with the driver of another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle pulled out a handgun and fired it at the two men.  One of the men was wounded on the leg.  Witnesses describe the suspect as a White or Hispanic man 25 to 30 years of age, with long brown hair in a pony tail.  He was wearing a tan colored hooded jacket.  The suspect was driving a dark colored SUV possibly an Audi.

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured by Hit and Run Driver
October 30, 2023

 
An elderly man was killed at the hands of a hit-and-run driver in El Paso’s downtown. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help from the community to find the driver involved through the Crime of the Week.
 
On Tuesday, October 17, at 1:15 P.M., 80-year-old, Luis Valles was found lying near the intersection of Kansas and 3rd. Officers working in the downtown area were informed by a passerby about Valles. The Officers immediately responded and began to provide Valles with first-aid. Fire Medical crews transported Valles to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Special Traffic Investigations Officers found evidence that suggested that Valles was run over by a vehicle. Investigators know that someone has information as to who was involved in the crash that killed Luis Valles.

Elderly Man Killed By Hit and Run Driver

An elderly man was killed at the hands of a hit-and-run driver in El Paso’s downtown. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help from the community to find the driver involved through the Crime of the Week.  

 

On Tuesday, October 17, at 1:15 P.M., 80-year-old, Luis Valles was found lying near the intersection of Kansas and 3rd.  Officers working in the downtown area were informed by a passerby about Valles. Man Robs Woman Near Adult Club

A woman is robbed near an adult club in East El Paso. Security cameras recorded the suspect. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help to identifying this violent robber through the Crime of the Week.  

 

On Saturday, September 9 at 2:30 A.M., El Paso Police responded to an Assault in Progress call at the 11400 block of Chito Samaniego. The officer learned from the victim that a man had choked her and robbed her of a cell phone, cash, keys, and a backpack.  Investigators discovered that the suspect had earlier been at the Bucks Cabaret at 11701 Gateway West. Security video at the club was able to capture images of the suspect.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his 20’s, 6’0”, 230lbs., and goes by the name of Albert.  He fled the scene in a dark-colored Dodge Durango.

Man Burglarizes Restaurant in Mission Valley

A man broke into a restaurant in El Paso’s Mission Valley.  Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help to identify this burglar through the Crime of the Week.  

 

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 4:34 A.M., a man was seen walking in an alley between two businesses at a shopping center at 9001 Cashew.  Moments later, the man broke the glass front door to the Casabe Venezuelan Restaurant.  Once inside, the man stole a jar containing tips and then made his way to the cash register.  He managed to open the register and stole the cash drawer.  The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is a Hispanic male in, his early to mid-20s, 5’7” in height, with a thin build.  He was wearing a gray baseball cap with a logo on the center, and a dark green hooded sweatshirt with a possible flag design in the front.

Man Burglarizes Store to Steal Beer

A man breaks into a Northeast El Paso business to steal beer. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help to identify this beer burglar through the Crime of the Week.  

 

On Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 3:45 A.M., a man used a large rock to break the glass front door to the Dollar General located at 8500 Dyer. The man burglarized the store walking to the beer section and taking at least two 18-packs of beer.  The suspect dropped two other packs of beer in the burglary.  The man appears to be a Hispanic male, using a blue shirt to hide his face.  He was wearing a gray tee shirt, blue denim jeans, and boots.  Investigators found evidence that the suspect may have fled into the neighboring Villa Ciento Apartments at 8604 Dyer.

Man Attacks Woman in Apartment Parking Lot

A man violently attacks a woman at gunpoint in an apartment parking lot.  Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help to identify this violent robber through the Crime of the Week.

 

On Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 6:36 P.M., a woman was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment building on the 3236 Frankfort. As the woman approached her vehicle, a man ran towards her armed with a handgun.  The woman ran and the suspect chased her.  The man grabbed the woman, threw her to the ground, and stole her purse. The suspect ran from the scene north on Copia.  The suspect is a Hispanic male in, his late teens or early 20’s, thin, 5’8” in height, and described as having Asian-looking eyes.  On the day of the robbery, he was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark gloves, dark jeans, and white athletic shoes.

Man Burglarizes One Store and Robs Another

A man robs one convenience store and burglarizes another on the same night. Crime Stoppers and the El Paso Police Department ask for help identifying this suspect through the Crime of the Week.

 

On Monday, May 8, at 10:20 P.M., the suspect entered the Circle K store located at 12190 Montwood.  The man ran behind the counter when the clerk momentarily stepped away. The suspect managed to grab a small undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.  Moments later the suspect went to the Circle K at 1135 Joe Battle. In this case, the suspect selected various items and then went behind the counter.  The man threatened the clerk and implied that he was armed with a gun. The suspect stole a small amount of cash and fled.  The suspect is described as being in his 20’a and was wearing a black beanie, gray hooded jacket, gray sweat pants, dark socks, and black Nike brand sandals.

Tips Sought to Identify Slurpee Robber

A man robs a Mission Valley convenience store and walks out with a Slurpee and cigarettes.  Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help identifying the man involved in this robbery through the Crime of the Week.

On Saturday, May 13, at 4:38 A.M., a man walked into the Circle K store located at 7100 North Loop. The man went to the beverage machines and served himself a Slurpee.  When the store clerk was cleaning the restrooms, the suspect ran behind the counter and took more than 50 packages of cigarettes, including Newports and Marlboros. The suspect threatened the clerk’s life and walked out with $463.08 in cigarettes, and a Slurpee.

Investigation Continues In Northeast Murder Case
May 08, 2023

 

A man is fatally shot in a Northeast El Paso neighborhood. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help finding those involved in this murder through the Crime of the Week.

 

On Saturday, April 29, at 3:11 A.M., Officers responded to a call of a vehicle that had crashed into a yard at the 5900 block of Ameen. The driver, 27-year-old Daniel Antonio Mergil was taken to the hospital but did not survive.  The investigation revealed that Mergil was shot.  Investigators believe the shooting may have taken place near the 6100 block of Ameen. Mergil left behind a wife and a young child.  Investigators are certain someone knows who was involved in the murder of Mergil.

Man Steals Money from Elderly Woman’s Account

A man uses a Minnesota woman’s account to steal more than $1,700 at a Central El Paso bank. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help identifying the man involved through the Crime of the Week.  
 
On Monday, February 6, at 11:01 A.M., the unidentified suspect is captured on security video at the Wells Fargo located at 6175 Gateway West. The suspect manages to make two different withdrawals from the victim’s account. In total, the suspect stole $1,780.00 from the elderly woman’s account. The suspect is a Black male with a large build, average-length hair, a beard, and a visible tattoo on his left calf. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with an image in memory of Josh Barnes.

Tips Sought On Armed Cookie Robbers

Two men held up a Central El Paso Grocery Store at gunpoint and left with two packages of cookies.  Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help identifying these two armed cookie robbers through the Crime of the Week.

On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 1 P.M., two men walked into the El Fandango Grocery store located at 1928 Olive.  One of the men approached the store clerk, pulled out a handgun, and demanded money from the cash register.  The clerk was unable to open the register.  Both suspects walked towards the door to exit the business, and each grabbed a package of cookies and fled. Both men appear to be Hispanic. The suspect with the gun is in his late teens, has a thin build, a light complexion, and had his eyebrows shaved off.  The second suspect is in his early 20s, has an average build and height.

Pedestrian Killed by Hit and Run Driver on I-10
February 27, 2023

 
A man was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Interstate 10 on El Paso’s Westside. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department asks for help to find the driver involved through the Crime of the Week.
 
On Friday, February 10, 2023, at 8:37 P.M., 42-year-old Cesar David Rodriguez was crossing Interstate 10-West from north to south. As Rodriguez entered the roadway a vehicle traveling on the right lane of I-10 West struck him and fled. Rodriguez died at the scene. Investigators have found evidence suggesting that the vehicle involved is a maroon-colored S.U.V. Investigators believe the vehicle could be a 2015 or 2016 Honda CRV and will have some damage.

Tips Sought on I-10 Murder

Investigators continue to seek leads on a man who was fatally shot on I-10 East near Americas. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help to identify those involved in this murder through the Crime of the Week.
 
On Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 7:20 P.M., 32-year-old, Israel Corral was driving a gray 2012 Honda Accord on I-10 East. Investigators believe Corral became involved in a road rage incident with another motorist. During that road rage incident, the driver or occupant of another vehicle fired a gun at Corral fatally wounding him. Corral’s vehicle came to rest on the on-ramp to loop 375 from I-10 East. The road rage incident may have begun near Hawkins and continued to the exit for Loop 375.

Man Is Killed After Road Rage Incident In East El Paso
January 30, 2023

 

EL PASO, TEXAS – A road rage incident ends with a man killed in East El Paso. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help in identifying the person involved in this murder through this week’s Crime of The Week.  

 

On Thursday, February 18, 2021, 39-year old Jose Guzman, was traveling with his family on Joe Battle.  Guzman became involved in a road rage incident with another driver.   

 

Guzman exited Joe Battle and pulled into a parking lot at 1201 Bob Hope.  The suspect also exited and pulled into the parking lot.  Guzman exited his car and walked toward the suspect’s vehicle.  The suspect accelerated his vehicle towards the victim, struck him and fled.  Jose Guzman died days later from his injuries.  The suspect vehicle is a 4-door red or burgundy car and will have damage to the front right side.
